Tribute to Kobe is part of my latest collection The Game, a dialogue between art and sport done in collaboration with the artist Matías Irreal. The work is a tribute to the legacy of the great athlete Kobe Bryant. His passion for sport left a great mark on the city of Los Angeles and all athletes of the world, a legacy that surpassed the sports world and provided motivation for many generations. Perseverance, passion and dedication are represented in this work through a large black cross and a white neon light. The black painted wood, with a "deep black" paint, shows us that the deity has no color. In eternal life, there are no colors or differences. It shows us the image of immortality, of transcendence, but at the same time, being supported by the soil speaks of humility, of the earthly, of the origin… symbolizes the image of a god with his feet on the ground.
